A hat for every song...still looking for a song for every hat!
Rosemarie Eggleston has been barbershopping FOREVER or so it seems...32 years and counting. What a great hobby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her four grown children were raised on four part harmony. Her husband has been in barbershop even longer than she has. She loves to sing and entertain and thoroughly enjoys Mad Caps comedy style!
Fran Pinto is a semi-retired mother of two “awesome” daughters and loves to sing and perform. She has been a member of Sweet Adelines for over twenty years. Fran is bass section leader in the Saratoga Soundtrack Chorus, acts as Engagement Coordinator, and helps with chorus publicity. In her spare time (and nice weather), she really enjoys riding her Harley motorcycle!
Nancy Plaat, currently the lead of Mad Caps, started singing barbershop as a baritone in May 1978 in the Latham Circle Chorus which then became the award-winning Capitaland Chorus. She is married to Mark since 1982 and they are the proud parents of two boys, Louis and Daniel, who are twentiesomething. This will be the 8th quartet Nancy has sung with in Region 16 during her barbershop singing career. She has the distinction of being in two Region 16 Novice Quartet championship quartets. Nancy has also been in award-winning double quartets in Region 16 as well as a finalist in “The Boyz II Men A Cappella Quest” competition sponsored by CBS's "The Early Show." She loves to perform and hopes that our "Mad Cap" style brings joy to audiences everywhere.
Niki Fillipone loves to sing, even though her kids used to tell her to be quiet when they were little. She has three great kids, all grown but a couple are still around, and the very best of hubbies. She is also a first time ya ya (Greek for grammy). She's always been a reader (would take a flashlight to bed to see her book, when small). Niki enjoys working with kids of all ages too, so it seems a natural fit to be working as a K-12 librarian in the Hoosic Valley School District. Her dad had always encouraged her to get involved with the Sweet Adelines, but with young ones and work, Niki didn't get around to it until after he was gone. She fondly remembers listening to her dad's quartet from her bedroom when they'd come over to rehearse; they sang old stuff like "Tiger Rag" and "Bust a Chord Tonite." He'd be most tickled to know that she's now quartetting and having a blast with these fun, crazy ladies. Yes, we are The Mad Caps!

Contact the Mad Caps at franpinto@aol.com. We'd love to perform for you!
